Chris Cabell, M.D., is senior vice president of Global Sales for the Research & Development Solutions organization at QuintilesIMS. With oversight of regional and functional clinical development sales and the Therapeutic Centers of Excellence, Chris is responsible for leveraging the company’s deep therapeutic expertise across core customer segments to engage customers earlier in the sales process.
Prior to assuming this role at Quintiles in November 2014, Chris was head of the Therapeutic Delivery Unit, responsible for global medical and clinical project management with delivery accountability across Phase Ib - IIIb clinical trials evaluating vaccines, drugs and therapies targeting hundreds of diseases. Chris joined Quintiles in 2007 as the cardiovascular/endocrine global therapeutic group leader and held numerous roles at Quintiles, including chief medical and scientific officer.
Board certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, Chris is an honors graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and Duke University, where he earned both his medical degree and a master’s degree in Health Sciences. He also is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Chris has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has published in prestigious journals, including New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA and Annals of Internal Medicine.
